Energetica - an online interactive game

2026. June 16.

Within the Electric Power Engineering course (HU), students had the opportunity to try themselves in a complex, real-time energy production-market simulation game (Energetica). Through the interactive educational platform developed by ETH in Zurich, students could experience in practice the challenges and decision-making situations faced by market participants in a modern electricity system.

The Smart Power Lab research group has won the CELSA research grant for the second time; together with KU Leuven and the University of Ljubljana, they are investigating the role of consumer equipment to ensure system stability.
