Our Mission

The Department of Electrical Engineering, the first at the university was founded in 1893. The first department head was Károly Zipernowsky, one founder of the closed-core transformer. We are the successor of this department.

Our priority is following the traditions, opening to new fields both in education and research. Our staff are reputable academics with long experience in teaching, research and consultation, lots of them are members of national and international technical organizations and committees. More books, lecture notes and scientific papers have been prepared based on their results and achievements. The department is about to organize conferences and trainings, collaborating with several universities within Europe or from overseas both in education and research.
